I think checking the weather for Alaska in August is pretty close to qualifying as desperate.

I'm right there with you.

No I am just a weather junkie, and winter weather is showing up about two weeks early on the north slope of Alaska. Hopefully this trend continues as last weekend was cold and down to 48F at my fathers house in Enfield, near the record low of 45F.

I really hope that this winter will be the biggest we have had in like ten years, because Im kinda getting fed up with terrible winters. One right after, there was one thread that talked about a large volcano explosion blotting out the sun and having a year round winter, that sounds about right for this next season. Anyone know of any good volcanos that are close to errupting?
