Right where I want to be
Jay was incredible today. Well except for the fact only the jet and taxi were open. Every trail and glade was skiable. Even every chutes off the top of the tram. Skinned the Vermonter to get up there. Others just hiked up. Also skied over to the tram side and skied a few glades over there. Only took the jet 3 times. Line was fucking horrible.

Staying in a condo in Lincoln NH for a few nights. Left this morning for Jay at 6:30am. Saw online the Bonny chair only. Parked at Stateside. By this time the wind is howling. We walk up the stairs at Stateside and skiers are lined up at the Bonny. At about 9am they all jump out of line and head to the Taxi chair.............Bonny closed for the day............Swing and a miss. We knew it was possible so can't complain. But waste of a day
In the old days I would have shoved my weed down my pants and driven to Owls Head. Instead we had breakfast at The Foundry and drove home. Gone soft

Mont Sutton is only 10 minutes farther.

Everyone who lives in the east & regularly skis Jay Peak should ski Mont Sutton every year, yet almost no Americans go there. Fantastic place.

I'd say try Burke, but not much open there. :(

Maybe Bretton Woods?

Not skiing in Quebec is one of my biggest skiing regrets. I grew up 30 mins from the border. One can see Owl's Head from Newport. It was literally like $20 American to ski there. Never went. Never went to Sutton, Orford, Bromont, etc., etc.

And us locals also made fun of the Quebecois and made fun of the stereotype. I only went to the Granby Zoo twice as a kid. Never to Montreal. Went to Montreal when I was 29 and was like "what the fuck was I thinking? This place is amazing!" Honeymooned in Quebec City. Absolutely amazing food, people, history, and culture. I can't wait to go back.

Love skiing in Quebec !! Love the food too !!!
French was my first language, so I don't come off as an obnoxious american

Mt Sutton, Owls Head, Orford and MSA are all excellent.
Go during February Winter Carnival week for a 24 hour party atmosphere :)

Love Quebec skiing! I haven't done any of the Montreal and Ottawa areas yet. That along with Ontario, is probably my biggest hole in North America. Nice that Indy is finally picking up some Quebec. But this deal is also pretty nice...

I think it might even let US citizens buy it now. Last time I had to use an address in New Brunswick (not the NJ one).

Le Massif is absolutely mandatory for any AZ member. Visuals of the St Lawerence the likes of which you could only find in Lake Tahoe, but I’d say they’re even better than that. Also, the terrain is the shit.

Heading to Jay for the weekend after work. In a perfect world I’d have been there to ski today and check out Mont Sutton tomorrow as it’s very high on my list. But that’ll have to wait for another trip.

Couldn’t agree more about Le Massif. When they are fully open it’s tough to beat the terrain and views.
