The ground is still very warm, I would be surprised if anyone fired up this early in a short window. Maybe PR snow only for the TV stations showing someone making 4 turns.

As I drove through Francnia Notch yesterday around 6 Pm it was rainng with wet snowflakes mixed in. Looking up in elevation the trees just below the cloud line looked white. Today is the last day to ride the tram.

Interesting that Keystone pulled the rug out from under A Basin. They have a pretty robust snowmaking system and much more available water than A basin

When Vail chooses to do something, they definitely have the equipment and resources to do so, if they have chosen to give them the resources and equipment to do so...
