The ground is still very warm, I would be surprised if anyone fired up this early in a short window. Maybe PR snow only for the TV stations showing someone making 4 turns.

As I drove through Francnia Notch yesterday around 6 Pm it was rainng with wet snowflakes mixed in. Looking up in elevation the trees just below the cloud line looked white. Today is the last day to ride the tram.

Interesting that Keystone pulled the rug out from under A Basin. They have a pretty robust snowmaking system and much more available water than A basin

When Vail chooses to do something, they definitely have the equipment and resources to do so, if they have chosen to give them the resources and equipment to do so...

The CPC model is actually based on specified definitions of what above average, average, and below average are for temperature and precipitation for every month for locations across the country. So yes you can interpret magnitude as it’s based on the probability of those 3 situations happening.

Killington said they will start making snow above the bottom of the base of the North ridge Quad using 146 guns, the most ever for that trail pod.
