That's a crazy good price. I needed to rent a supersize SUV there once. Ended up renting from the Alamo in town rather than the airport, saved over $1000.

for an "Audi Q3 or similar"! the shitty 2016 subaru i had queued up on turo for montana was like 2x the price of this luxury suv from reputable company

What dollar is that? Its worth 10% less than it was last year at this time. Sept 2021 was the last time the dollar had so little value compared to the Euro. I guess it's good compared to 10-15 years ago, but sure was nice in the early 2000s when it was worth more than the Euro.

As for the original question, I'm heading the Midwest again. Main focus is WI this time, but plan to hit some PA, IN, IA, IL, MN, MI also. Also going to Tahoe Epic areas trip.
Sure, not quite as high as '22 or last year BUT you do get a ton for your $$$

Looks like you do get a lot of nice add-ons, but $2500 for a week (I assume 7 ski days?) still sounds like a lot to me.

Yeah, not terrible, but I'm feeling it because I'm probably going to be buying a pinball machine from Europe, the extra 10% compared to last year is a good sized hit. Not sure whether tariffs will get me, the game is old enough that it's mostly American parts.

Canadian Rockies for the 3rd year through Calgary. 2 seasons ago we skied Panorama/Sunshine Village in early April, last year was Sunshine Village and Lake Louise in early April, this year is Castle and Fernie at the end of Jan.

Awesome, congrats! Just be careful, those things like to procreate like rabbits.
This one has it's original factory paperwork.
It was in the private collection of the Yankee Candle guy out in the Berkshires. That place was AMAZING..... $23M and it's all yours

Just looked it up. Yeah, that place is insane! I could see some other pinball machines in the pictures, but I could not spot yours.

I drove by Lost Trail Powder Mountain a couple years ago and I’d definitely ski there if I were bouncing around Montana. It’s got some really fun looking terrain.

Booked 3 days at Grand Targhee then 4 days a Lost Trail Mtn. in MT for end of Feb-early March. Stoked!

Pics from a day I skied at LT last March 2025, View of Lost Trail from US 93, this section is in Idaho.

Next day, a mile north, this section is in MT.

Following photos taken beside the Saddle Mtn double chair (1800' vert), in the MT section of the ski area, real fine upper intermediate terrain here with low crowds on the Saturday I visited last March.

That Saddle Mountain lift was the longest line of the year for me last year. Went on a Thursday which is opening day for the week. It was also the first deep powder day in a while. EVERYBODY showed up. The ticket lines were crazy, luckily the Indy line was by far the shortest. Even season passholders have to pick up a ticket every day, their line was horrible, glad I wasn't in it. We thought we were plenty early, but ended up getting on the lift about 10-15 min after opening. Luckily the main Idaho lift had just been fixed, so we got 3 or 4 runs in over there before the crowds showed up. We then headed to Saddle Mountain, the wait was 1/2 an hour or so. Took one run there and headed back to the Idaho side again where the crowds had disappeared. No doubt they were at Saddle Mountain, since the line was a lot longer by the time we actually loaded the chair. I would guess 45 minimum. After lunch we headed back to Saddle and the line was gone. Patrol also opened the more extreme terrain, so we spent the rest of the day lapping that area. Great day, but wow, not what I expected crowd wise. Next day at Snowbowl was much quieter and snow was just about as nice. That was probably my favorite day on the trip, really like the new terrain. That frontside triple serves some real nice steeps.

Wow, thanks for posting these. I really can't wait to see what this place has in store; I've done a ton of skiing out West but just heard about this place recently.

Is there anything around the mountain for restaurants or bars? I looked a Google Maps and it looks like its just in the middle of nowhere.

Isolated. Salmon is about 40 minutes to the south. Darby is a small town about 25 minutes to the north.

It's back to the Dolomites for us. We are sandwiched into the week after the Olympics and just before the Para Olympics the first week in March. Sporthotel in Arabba for an extended stay and then Venice to finish it up for our 30th Anniversary. We left a bunch on the table last time and plan to have our guide for a few days probably. Things were so good last time. Food is great, costs are less than France, Switz and Austria and the people are really welcoming.
