The parking was annoying but the lift lines were really not bad. Also happy with the offerings - two thin cover natural routes and two snowmaking wales routes. Pretty liberal stuff for Stratton. A quick 25k, off hill by 1230, home by 3. Amazinf

Need Sunbowl. Hope Black Bear snowmaking issue resolved soon.

I think the black bear problem’s been going on for a while. Pre opening they claimed snowmaking on all of black bear but on opening day/ thanksgiving they had snow on it to the polar bear entrance, the black bear trail to the right under shooting star was bare.

Hope they get a decent amount of natural this week. Saturday will still be 'kids 6-12 ski for free' right? If so, get there early....

Heading back tomorrow morning for a week, looks like several inches over the next couple days. And they’ve been really cranking out the snow. :snow:

Our Mountain Operations Team is on a roll! Compared to this time last year, the Snowmaking Team has made over 25% more snow to kick off the 2025-2026 season allowing us to enjoy some stellar early season conditions. With how unpredictable the weather can be in our beautiful state, they are working around the clock and going above and beyond to make sure the mountain is in the best possible shape it can be. With soon to be 200 acres of skiable terrain, we don't plan on slowing down anytime soon. If you happen to know or see a member of the Operations team, be sure to give thanks for all the hard work they do to enhance our experience! Great day today, gondola and snowbowl on hold most of the day, apparently amex crapped out end of the day, super windy up top and tough to see at times, but it snowed pretty good all day so everything had “a touch i like”

Nice 9-12:30 storm session today. Probably 4” maybe 5 at exit. Nice powder shots on certain snow bowl trails not heavily skied due to Snow Bowl being down (but requiring 2 lift ride). Unfortunately Franks closed for major race. Typical early season with trails open first this season (Polar, Spruce) having some mid trail hard/boiler plate. Trails just opened (Slalom Glad, Drifter) better. Edges on all trails good with new snow. Looks like Grizzly and Tamarak ready to come online as whales being pushed out. Unfortunately, small water line blow out on lower standard, huge blowout crater at Bear Bottom/Grizzly Access intersection, no signs of snowmaking yet on Black Bear.

Spent the 2-4 shift at Bromley where lack of skiers meant serious powder shots everywhere with 6-7” by close, certain sections of trails skiing deeper from prior snows. Surprisingly, given wind at Stratton, wind was mellow. Still snowing good at 9pm and appears we are in the 8” range.

I don’t recall ever seeing that many racers, there were lots of white vans in the main lot o_O
Couple of very high level FIS super G races at Stratton the last few days.. That will get tons of top level ski academy racers, a bunch of high level college racers and some lower level national team racers there for sure!

They were still going today. Cold and windy day, no surprise there was no gondola and snowbowl lift, but the amex was running rough at the start. Lots of stops/resets and it sounded like something was off, but it seemed back to normal late morning.
