At 42 currently.

If Mount Snow stays open through mid April as they're future ticket sales options indicates they're planning on as of now, with the weekends between now and then and taking the 1st full week of April off to ski, I should get 60.

Will admit that I had a couple of potential days that I passed on earlier this season because the weather was just too ugly that day to make me even want to do a 1 and done type day.....

17 Mar 2026, day 46, Happy St. Paddy's Day from Snowbird, UT:jim 17 mar 2026 clear.jpeg

Driving to Canada in a couple days. We have a big heat wave coming to UT and I think I'll be driving through rain in the northern Rockies. Hopefully, it will be snow in Banff and beyond. I might go as far as Marmot? This trip was planned 10 months ago. Going to ski Big Sky on the way back, but things could be real thin by then? Not sure if I'll be able to post here until I return, but I'll try to take some photos to share later.

i dunno what to do this weekend. looks like maybe a few elevation dependent inches friday night>saturday morning. maybe another white knuckle drive up from rutland at 6:30 AM? i dont love burning my remaining K days in march. i have 3 left. i guess i could do saturday k, then go elsewhere next weekend, then do bear mountain mogul challenge april4, save my last k day for late april/early may supe session? looks like stratton may be south of the rain/snow line friday night. i dont think its worth going further north. sunday looks kinda shitty so i think its day trip to k.

NWS and snow-forecast both bullish on tomorrow's system AND the Sunday night system north of 89. Looks increasingly likely that tomorrow eclipses 6" and Sunday over a foot on the mountaintops. Plus warm during the day so ride up mostly not too bad.

Think I need to do some kind of Bolton/Stowe/Jay play.

I picked one more 4 day weekend next week starting monday. Probably cannon or burke then straight to jay/stowe for the rest. Hope this works out but either way im skiing

25. 3/19 Black Mountain NH. Snowmaking going all day long. I think the Chute/Maple Slalom/Lower Jackson Standard route for their late season run. Double barreling it with guns skier's left with hose dragged from the neighboring trail joining the regular skier's right gun line. Also at the base all the way over to the Double. Good effort and a fun day on the other stuff still open.

1) Park City (Canyons) - 1/02 holy hell it's terrible, but kid's clinics start this weekend & wanted to get the little a day on snow prior
2) Park City (Canyons) - 1/03 the first legitimate east coast conditions I've experienced in Utah. Brought back memories
3) Park City (Canyons) - 1/09 took 4 after school runs with the wife & little one on blue groomers. Conditions better after the recent snow, still not great.
4) Park City (Canyons) - 1/10 bizarrely empty! Conditions much improved. Powder in the trees. Lord, it feels like ski season finally.
5) Park City (Park City) - 1/17 MLK Friday & empty! Icy moguls, steep groomers icy, groomed beginner & intermediate terrain was okay.
6) Park City (Park City) - 1/23 Took the little one up McConkey's for the first time for some Georgeanna & Powder Monkey fun. Snow's good (not sure how).
7) Park City (Canyons) - 1/24 Empty. Even more bizarrely so than MLK weekend. Literally the only person on multiple trails. Ski on all day. On SATURDAY!
8) Park City (Canyons) - 1/31 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lifts. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Anything steep is east coast though.
9) Park City (Canyons) - 2/07 Empty. Another empty Saturday of ski-on lift. Groomer only. Decent considering no snow. Furrys. Lots of Furrys.
10) Park City (Canyons) - 2/13 After school Saddleback laps with the wife & little one. Six inches fell, but sadly I felt no difference. We need MUCH more.
11) Park City (Canyons) - 2/20 What is this white stuff?!?! Still empty. Just a few hours of after school laps with the wife & little one.
12) Park City (Canyons) - 2/21 Busiest day of the year, snow brings crowds. Caught in a slide on 9990 (RP Shoots). Bluebird day. Lost a ski. But I'm okay!
13) Park City (Canyons) - 2/27 Really bad conditions. Lost a TON of snow in the last 6 days. At this point, hoping we can make it to April. NEED SNOW.
14) Park City (Canyons) - 2/28 SUCKS! (Worst conditions I've seen since I moved to Utah)
15) Park City (Canyons) - 3/06 Afternoon groomer laps with the fam. Sadly, PC groomed anything that looked like new snow for preservation. I get it though.
16) Park City (Canyons) - 3/07 Bright sunny day. ROTD was Pipe Dream, a LONG mogul run. Both Hurricane Alley & Pinball Alley were fun too with good snow.
17) Park City (Canyons) - 3/13 Sunny slush fest with the wife and little one. I fear the end is nigh.
18) Park City (Canyons) - 3/14 Getting rough out there. Not sure how much longer Park City can stay open. Cookie Race & skiing with all the 6-7 year olds was fun though!

19) Park City (Park City) - 3/20 Probably our last day. Crazy to think I didn't make 20 days, less than when we lived in the east & tripped Vermont at 13 hour roundtrips. But it really sucked this season to be fair. Today was slush everywhere, it was 75 degrees at 8,500 feet & snow was eroding fast. But it was fun. The problem? The Azzholes CLOSED McConkey's and Jupiter. I massively hate this ******* company.
