Apparently a bunch of Canyons lifts (The 3D lifts, Peak 5, QuickSIlver) will close at 2pm today. That might be it for them or they'll try to run them one last day tomorrow.

Confirmed.

Tomorrow might be our last day. The little one really wants to ski more, but the end is nigh.

Thinking of just lapping McConkey's via Georgiana and Powder Monkey if it's safe.

McConkeys will be fine its high up and doesn’t get cooked by the sun. The top ridge of Georgeanna might be getting rough though just watch for rocks peaking out.

If it's decent tomorrow we'll probably go Saturday too. Georgeanna's a pretty great trail for little kids & if there are slush bumps to be had in the bowl there or in Molly's woods or the Black Forest it might exceed my (very) low expectations.

I thought you were going to Breck again, no?

Had planned on the same trip we did last year (a day each at BC & Vail, and then 3 days at Breck), but there's really no point.
Colorado's had even less snow than Park City (which is hard to believe) and only like 1/2 to 2/3 the base even with their higher elevation.

Alta Bird skied well today. Plenty of coverage still. Be careful on Powder Paradise and Road to Provo/Mark Malu as there is a lot of rocks and debris that have been tilled up by the groomers. Kind of annoying.

Alta started out pretty firm. I crossed over to Snowbird pretty early--Lower Mineral was already soft. Baldy side was softening. I was surprised that the front side was relatively soft and there were few areas that were groomed FG or ice. By about 11 things had softened from the base of Little Cloud down.

I hit Blue By You in Mineral about noon or so. It was just past perfect, but still fun. I did three runs on Baldy side before heading back to Alta and that side was also just slightly past perfect but still fun.

Lots of the stuff at Alta that are not runs or groomed areas were closed.

Not crazy busy at either area. Lots of folks visiting from back east.

Subaru Winterfest at Snowbird this weekend.
