What's your favorite musical genre (please don't PM me or post in the thread asking where is your "sub-genre" of music, there are FAR too many too many to list)?
I'd have to vote for the 'I'm Eclectic... Bitch' category since I listen to just about anything under the sun... Although recently my playlists have consisted mostly of rap and indie music...

Bad poll, I love and appreciate a lot of different music equally. Love rap, pop, reggae, rock. Don't listen to it as much as I used to, but doesn't mean I enjoy classical any less than the others.

I meant to make more than one choice selectable... can a mod/admin make more than one selectable, I don't think I can edit it myself.

There are dozens of genres unfortunately, and I like one today more than i liked one yesterday. Today it could be Genesis circa 1973, tomorrow it could be Green Day, next day it's Bob Marley, next day Robert Johnson, day after that Bela Fleck, etc.
It's like asking what your favorite food is. Hell, maybe that's easy compared to music.

ummm.. Jazz?

Serious... you include Indie on the list but not "classical" at least as the homogenous nod most will acknowledge it as, encompassing more than 400 years worth of music; which always really should at least be broken down into Baroque, Classical and Romantic era.

I'm Eclectic but did not voote that way as currently I'm listening to two types
Rock from (Metallica, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, The Who, Crue, both Alices, etc.) and
Country (Trace Adkins, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Sugarland, Mr. McGraw & some other)

I'll dabble in Classical but it has to be the louder, heavier stuff, lots of kettle drums, base, somewhat dark.. Wagner & a couple of others

Guess I have to say my favorite is rock.

I listen to the Dead almost constantly because it's soothing, but if I were to start a band tomorrow, it'd be a rockabilly outfit. There's simply nothing like ripping up the dancefloor to Commander Cody or the Blasters or Rev Horton Heat with your sweetie in one hand and bottle of Jack in the other.......

Well I know you said not to do this but I'm doing it anyways. Although I do have a very eclectic taste, my favorite genre is probably classic rock. You definitely need separate categories for classic rock and more modern/alternative rock. As it is it looks as though Led Zeppelin, The Doors, and The Beatles would be in the same category as Fall Out Boy or Good Charlotte.

Yeah, I know. I wouldn't want those kewl new bands to be associated with old fart music like that. Panic at the Disco and Fall Out Boy are the kewlest!!!111!!!!11!
