It's not something that I do, but I give those who do hit the parks a lot of credit. Not easy and definitely risky healthwise. Pretty cool to watch, too.

Parks are weird. A mountain can have a awesome park, but build way to big of jumps. My example would be Mt. Snow. I went there twice this year. Both times I was there I could not get into the smaller parks. They were closed for comps or some other reason. The big park was awesome to look at, but there is no way i would ever hit any of those jumps.

In order to have the "Best Terrain Parks" a mountain needs to have several parks. They need the small one, for learning, a medium one for the people who want to hit jumps, but not kill themselves, and MAYBE have a massive park. I doubt that many people at the mountains are going to be hitting the 70ft gaps that MT Snow had(or at least I saw very few actually do it when i was there.

The best I went to this year was Stratton. They had all of the different sized parks, and they were in very good condition.

I'd like to see a park some where with a mogul comp type kicker. I have no interest in hucking huge gaps anymore in this life time, but would like the option of practicing going off mogul comp type jumps.

I've got to go with Blue mountain..they have the best big dawg booters. The Sidewinder park is freaking long with a rail garden, steps, jumps, wall ride..more rails..and even a tire jib..mad crispy..then the lower park has smaller jumps to practice your dumper air or crotch grab spread eagle..along with the butter pad which is mad creamy..don't forget about the Come Around park..with even more features..the halfpipe and skiercross..it all adds up to alot of onsnow excitement for the Parkies..Touch the Sky..Blue mountain!!!!

The huge hits were for the Dew Tour. If they didn't have that I don't believe you would see the monsters like they had... we will see about next year. That said, how did you miss the rest of the parks? Carinthia was covered in everything from small to huge.

i am actually one of those who hit the huge jumps and ya it is scary but it is so much fun. Small parks are fun too but if you know what you are doing and progress quickly you can handle the monsters.

being a *little* less flippant, i just don't like terrain parks or even the idea of terrain parks....i like skiing the mountain and traditional ski terrain, not a bunch of fake mounds, rails, etc.

i guess i'm a very old 34 year-old....you can call me grandpa.
