Year-Round Ski Slope Now Open in Virginia

Lynchburg, VA - A year-round outdoor ski slope constructed of the synthetic Snowflex surface is now open on Candlers Mountain above Lynchburg at Liberty University, a school founded by the late evangelist, Jerry Falwell.

They use to have it way back in the 60's at Hunter under the old B lift. You're of skis, but after a couple of runs it got boring.

Snoflex is a better material and they can build moguls in it. Which would keep quiet a few people here happy. Looks like they have a terrain park built for the kids too. If it was local I'd go at least to check it out.

Pricing is by the hour, with the general public paying $5 per hour non-peak and $7 per hour peak, with peak days defined as Thursday through Sunday.

I'd pay that to get in some summer turns.
