C'mon, AZers. Don't let us down. Be there. CT bump crew... you're not real bump skiers if you don't come out to Bumpapalooza! :flame:

Bumpfreaq did a fine job of hyping it last year when he was showing us around his fav mountain!

didn't they have a SB one last year?

As much as I'd love to ski the Jane, especially with such a great group of rippers; out west is a once a decade special occasion for me. I'd rather check out Utah.

To paraphrase Glen Plake, would you rather ski 2' of powder in a boring, open powder bowl, or 2' of powder on top of a big ol' bump run?

I'll take the bump run. Free refill bump runs are awesome.

Big wide open bowl for me but with 2 feet of powder..you wouldn't feel the bumps..

Love bumps, but after 2 feet of fresh? No Freakin Way do I want to be skiing bumps. I want to be railing HUGE turns in the wide open if possible. I can ski bumps 90% of the days out. It's foolish to skip open bowl skiing on a Powder day in favor for bumps.

Hey guys,

I just wanted to make sure ya'll had the details. We arrive in Denver on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and ski 3 to 4 days (Thurs/Fri/Sat/maybe Sun) and fly home Sunday night, 2/28. There are plenty of cheap condo lodging opportunities by checking here:

http://www.vrbo.com/vacation-rentals/usa/colorado/northwest/winter-park-area

Aside from rental cars out of Denver airport, there is a van shuttle system (taking you straight up to Winter Park/Mary Jane) that works great. Info here:

http://www.ridehj.com/

Lastly, I have secured a huge house for bumpapalooza for 4 nights (Weds. 2/24 - Sat. 2/27) and we are filling it up with about 18 - 20 guys and we have a few spots left. Cost will be $40 to $50 per night (per guy) depending on how many we get. Sleeping arrangements will mostly be bunk beds, air mattrasses, couches and a few regular beds. If you want in all I need is a check for $25 to hold your spot and final payment of around $120 (or so) will be due to me mid December. Reply to this post, PM or email me at jeffjlind@comcast.net if you want in. We prefer commitments for all 4 nights.

P.S. Only fun, honest and easy going people need apply. Security will be on premises and will kick ass if needed.

Here is a link to the house:
http://www.camppatch.com/house.htm

So come on Alpinezoner's, head west to the Jane for the best mogul skiing trip of the year.

Awesome, we got the West's finest bump poster on here!

Though I think if you're gonna post about the MJ event on the Northeast ski forum, you've gotta man up and make it to Sugarbush. No backing out because of not wanting to fly over here to ski ice.

I'll take that welcome! :)

Yeah, I certainly caught some flack for that one last year... But in my defense, no one would be coming farther than I am for the East event. And when I fly out there, I literally have to stop in Denver on the way (United) and at that point I am still not even half way there. Imagine yourself in the Denver airport at the end of March with 4 more hours of flying to do to go ski the East. Makes you think. For sure though, I do indeed want to attend the East event and will do my best to make it. And although Sugarbootie looks awesome and so do the bumps, the main reason I would be coming is to meet and ski with you guys and just be a part of BMM's fun event. Just to be clear, I am not digging on the East at all. I grew up in the midwest and skied Vermont in the early 90s. Its just a mind job now to have to go right through Denver and bypass all it has to offer on the long trek to Vermont. It would certainly be fun to go back and experience the east again though.

Tough call...sitting in Denver...do I drive 1 1/2 hours to Mary Jane, or do I fly 4 more hours and drive 3 1/2 to get to Sugarbush?

It was weird enough for me driving 3 1/2 hours south to ski bumps at Sundown :p.

I'll take that welcome! :)

Just wanted to make sure I beat BMM to the punch. Mad props for even thinking about it.
