GSS -- i think you need to get out of pa.

Well I spent 4 years in Vermont and 2 years in Montana but I can't pass up the steady income and now I've been here 5 years so I get really good vacation time and benefits..oh well..one day I'm gonna spend the ski season in Jackson Hole and work the other 8 months..:daffy:

I have been going to the bar like crazy lately cause once ski season starts I don't go there. I think I went out 4 nights last week. There's just something about drunk college chicks that have me spending $$$$$. I did meet one girl last week who skis. She doesn't have a season pass at Blue but a 6 time pass through a ski club..so maybe I'll get to ski with her this season..

nice...otherwise meet a cool chick and teach her how to ski...she will always be grateful.

yes, drunk college girls can get the best of any of us...

My ex was a skier who skied since she was a child but was never very good so I would often just split up from her for a couple runs at a time to ski tougher terrain. She skied Jackson Hole with me and she was a total bitch there and a week later we were finished..I met another girl from www.paskiandride.com and we went skiing on our 2nd date but after the 3rd date that was it..I guess she wasn't over her ex...which is a common excuse.

I don't care so much if the woman of my dreams is a skier. My Dad plays 60 rounds of golf a year and my Mom doesn't play golf. When he goes on golf trips with his buddies, she goes to a spa with her friends. But if I one day had a non-skiing wife/girlfriend..I don't know if skiing close to 100 days a year would happen which is possibly one of the reasons I haven't really seeked out a long term relationship..instead preferring to date lots of different women for short periods of time. Gotta try before you buy..

Four years of prepaid cover charge paid by your grandparents to attend UVM doesn't count.

I don't think I could live in MASH (mid-Atlantic Ski Hell). I had the option of a window office in a skyscraper in Philly last summer and turned it down. If I opt to drive down to Philly this winter to attend a meeting rather than fly, I'm gonna toss those AC50's and a case o' Long Trail in the GTI and check out the mighty Blue Mountain.

I average 20-30 days per season outside of PA..I wouldn't want to live in Philly..it's 75 miles from Blue..I prefer the 17 miles I have now. My years at UVM I was living the dream..I was skiing Stowe and Sugarbush 3-5 days a week..while in high school I skied those east coast gems a few days a season..In Montana I was a broke skibum..my last year I didn't even have money to visit friends in Jackson Hole so I was stuck skiing Bridger Bowl..wow..tough life..

If you visit Blue I'll see if I can score you a ticket..I'm on a first name basis with the owner.

I'd say that's a fair view

At 33, I find that I don't run into very many people my age on the hill. Many of my friends who were diehards in high school through their mid 20's no longer ski due to work / young kids etc. I hope to still get out 20-25 days a year when J and I start having kids in the next year or two, but my guess is it will be more in the 10-15 range for several years.

you should come to the River with me this winter...got a whole gaggle of us "average" skiers up there.
