Ripcord...most likely

Depends on the weather that weekend. Ripcord #1 option and then Beartrap #2. We'll have to wait and see what Mother Nature brings us this year.

Sweet! If it's on Ripcord, gotta atleast make up a token "Slalom Glade" trail sing and hang it up there for nostalgia sake!

Awesome news! Greg - Will this mean there will be an increased emphasis on maintaining good bumps lines throughout the season as well?

Sounds fun. I've accidentally ended up at Mount Snow for Reggaefest the past two years, and that place throws a great spring party. The mountain has its physical limitations, but they do some great things with what they've got.

Out of curiousity, do they know which weekend this will be?

Is Ripcord the right trail for a bump comp?

This question is coming from lack of experience having not skied there in at least 20 years. I always hear how steep Ripcord is. While you do want decent pitch for a bump comp, there is such a thing as being too steep for a competition. At least in my opinion anyhow.

Jesus, Ripcord? Couldn't pay me to run through a bump course down that run.

I think Beartrap would be a better venue. Less pitch, more room, and better viewing.

Back a good 10 years ago Glade-iator was always held on Ripcord (used to be called Slalom Glade and hence the Glade-iator title). Pretty cool to watch as the start was at the top of the headwall and the pitch usually led to more than a few good crashes over that not so long distance!

Mt. Snow Ripcord Bump Comp returns...

Don't think anybody mentioned this yet. Didn't find it in a search, so here ya go....

The Return of the GLADE-IATOR
04/03/2010
The legendary bump competition is coming back to Mount Snow! The Glade-iator challenges the best east coast bump skiers in this non-sanctioned extreme competition on Ripcord.

Competitors will attempt to descend our 37 degree pitch massive mogul field before hitting a final jump to impress the judges.

Awards will be presented at the Mount Snow Winter Brewers Festival on Cuzzins Deck.

More information on registration and competition details will come in the next few months.

wow, blast from the past with the Glade-iator. They used to do this back in the 80's. that will be one seriously steep bump comp.
