Went to Wildcat in the AM. Alley Cat and Middle catapult were open but shouldn't have been. Cat Track to Middle Wildcat were fine and Lower Catapult and Cheetah were as well. Left at noon to go to Cranmore. When I got to Cranmore I had to park far away, the ticket line was out the door and the lift lines looked long. I left.

I stayed at Cranmore because the snow they were blowing down middle was sweet. Looks like I made the right call. Lines were fine in the am but began to pick up.

The snow you turned on was virtually gone by 2pm. The winds picked up on the lower mt. and man, did it blow. It looked like most snowmaking was going in the woods. A long night ahead for the groomers.

Cran started to pickup after 10am; I was on the slopes at the opening bell.. I went back at 4 and people were still coming off the hil.

I stopped by Ski Wheelers Club afterwards and was talking with the past president. He made a great comment. When the conditions are good at Wildcat, it is very, very good. When they are bad, they are very, very bad.

Yeah the wind at the bottom wasn't bad in the morning and the snow was pretty good except as I mentioned before on Alley Cat. And yes when it is bad it can be bad but when it is good it is one of my favorites. On another note the views were gorgeous yesterday. The sun made Washington look yellow in the morning.
