BMMC is a shell of its former glory. I'm not even gonna set up camp this year. Last year I was the only campsite.

The mogul comp still exists thankfully.

moe. is playing from 3 to 4:30 on Saturday at Bear Mountain. That will draw a couple thousand folks to party.

If the BMMC is still a dud despite bringing in a fairly popular national touring act, then Powdr truly has issues.

i think it will be fun if the weather is nice, but it wont be like it was pre-2008.
i doubt any camps will be set up because of the no byob rule.
the beer garden could work if they promote it enough and offer big discounts on the 24oz beers
i hear they are expecting 4-5,000 people to come because of moe.

Yes, you are correct that the mt snow comp is the following weekend. The above link actually represents a warm-up event for DrJeff, Glenn and myself that occurs on 3/28 (coinciding with the Bud Light ReggaeFest) and involves duct tape and cardboard. If you're up for this Derby . . . stop by . . . we'll have lottsa swag.

nobody has won it 3 times. a couple people have won it twice and i think the only 2 time winner that is doing the bmmc this year is kirk sisson. so if he wins this year he will be the only 3 time winner.

he had few cuts and bruises but was fine to ski the next day.
he said he had fun and he is coming back for the spring comp

Interestingly enough, no explicit mention of BYOB not being allowed for BMMC on the K website. I remember it being a pretty clear statement the last couple years, including involvement of state/local authorities.

Maybe there is hope after all.

off the top of my head i can think of three guys that won it twice and one woman who i believe has won it three times
