I was expecting a day of carving but as soon as I started to drive up the mountain it started to snow. At the mountain, there was around 2" of fresh. The snow resumed around midday for maybe another inch. Not a lot, but really made a difference. It was fairly firm underneath but never uncarvable even when scraped and shiny. Despite the wind, the snow generally managed to stay on the trails. Almost everything was open which is a miracle of snowmaking engineering.

Frontside had the best conditions. Racers had some nice bumps in the midsection as did crossover. All trails had some version of small crud style bumps. Cliff had some nice bumps forming on skiers left which cold be really nice if they leave them alone. Does Hunter leave bumps alone now or are they still into bashing them down every night? West side was getting scoured by the wind. I actually liked Clairs as it was firm but fun with some bumps (never form close enough together on this trail). Was looking forward to Annapurna but it was flat and scraped.

Like the new lift (which still somehow stopped every once and a while - is it possible to build an idiot proof lift?) and the liftees were really friendly. Crowded for a weekday but never a line more than a minute or so.

I was out too... Good report... spot on.

Clairs was good but challenging with the wind scour going on over there. There were some nice drifts forming here and there.

We really liked Lower K on the left side.. CLiff was good. Right side Ike and lower Racers had some nice natural.
