Taking Monday off...for some reason our fall holiday is Veteran's Day this year. Bringing the oldest home for the weekend from college. We did the Parent's weekend last year and didn't participate in any of the activities.

Just hoping to chill otherwise...

Tonight - Cut lawn

Tomorrow - Home improvement day. Trim out hole I cut last weekend in wall between the kitchen and family room to open the rooms up. Put second coat of stain on the shed.

Sunday - Maybe get back on the bike.

No monday off :sadwalk:

This weekend is pretty busy. Today I have a guy coming to fix my treadmill then my wife and I need to go talk to a deacon about baptism for my son. Tomorrow morning we are having a 3 month photo session with my son; then tomorrow night my friend is having an OCTOBERFEST which will be awesome. Last year it was so awesome I went kayaking and fell into the lake and lost my phone and car keys. Whoops.

Sunday is something else. I just don't remember what yet.

Spectacular fall colors in the MRV today. Quick hike around the base of Mt Ellen before the rain this AM. Rain ended late day in time for longer time on the mountain. Was 60+ degrees in the AM and dropped to the 40's by 7 PM.

Sunday was brutal. Just laid on the couch all day like a slob, had chinese food AND pizza in one day. I still feel full. Bleh!

thought of this all weekend. we'll be visiting a different weekend next year.
Sorry to suggest changing plans, just related what we found last year.

Have to get the son back to school today, read that the Mass. Pike will be a mess but fortunately we don't go that way. Plan is to eat dinner at the dining commons so we don't have to cook or clean tonight. UMASS Amherst college food is actually quite good...much better than what we used to have at BU many years ago and I never had complaints back then.
