Going in Binghamton, NY Wednesday night. We get Sugarbush, Gore, and Windham. I think you guys in NE get Sunday River, Loon?

I stopped going to WM films because all the vouchers were to places West of me, Bristol, Swain, etc. I would rather drive to the Cats, Daks, or VT, and pay, if I have to drive that far. They added Sugarbush last year, Gore this year. Not too shabby for $18.

Portsmouth NH show gets midweek freebie to Bush, 2 for 1's to Loaf, SR, Gunstock and a $25 credit off $50 purchase at Putnams ski shop.
I've been the last 6 yrs with my friends...we always go the night before Thanksgiving...grab some beers at the Portsmouth Brewery then head over for the movie....nice tradition.

Looks like the NYC showing includes vouchers for Gore & Jimminy, as well as Sugarbush. Sounds like a good deal to me even at the $25 walk up price... Any one else thinking of heading to one of the shows Saturday? Always glad to meet other AZers :) there are two shows, one at 5:30 & another at 9pm I think. The 5:30 show works better for me, but that is subject to change ;-)

The SB voucher is only good for M-F.

Looks like a lot of the "usual" discount deals I've used in previous years are now all gone to mid-week only.

Last year, I had a hard time using up the pre-purchased tickets due to p1ss-poor conditions. I'm already feeling hesitant to pre-purchasing any discount tickets this year. Now they're getting more and more restrictive, I'm just not going to bother!

I think I can do almost as well relying exclusively on liftopia for deals.

I took my Son to Sugarbush the last week of January, neither of us had been there, we each had a WM voucher and I bought two $45 tickets from boston.com. My Son was not happy, he only boarded half day on our first day. I told him, screw it let's go home in the morning, I'll use the vouchers later. It worked out great. I kept waiting for snow to take the last week of my vacation. Finally, I was told to take the last week of February off. Bam, two feet just prior to my arrival. Sugarbush was like day and night from my first visit. Since my boarder Son wasn't with me on the second trip, I was able to ski MRG too. First time there also. In the snow starved 2011-2012 season, it was my highlight by far. I plan on returning to Sugarbush on the WM voucher this year. I also picked up the 9 for $119 deal which gets me a MRG ticket.

Liftopia is good, I used them for the first time skiing Killington in the Spring last year. I was on the road, and was concerned that I didn't have access to a printer. They scanned the barcode from an email right off my phone, pretty neat.

Been here the last couple of years and going this year. The Music Hall should relax their drinking rules, IMO. I feel like it contributes to turning the event into a crowded shitshow in the lobby. Best to have beers before you go like you guys do.

Funny, I had just posted this in the SOTC thread, then saw this thread, great minds think alike!

Hopefully it actually happens.

Last year at that location, the promoter did NOT come through with the advertised deal (which annoyed quite a few people).

We wound up with Mountain Creek tickets good for either mid-week or night skiing (yuck), and Jiminy BOGO tickets. I sold them on Craigslist lol. How many people from NYC would likely go to Jiminy Peak when there are same/better options at a closer/similar drive time?

I live walking distance to this movie theater and am going to buy my seats today. It will be worth it for the Sugarbush Mon - Fri ticket (fingers crossed that it happens). The Gore ticket can be used as a free lift ticket from Open to 12/14/12 or 3/18/12 to close OR a BOGO valid from 01/03/12 to Close (non-holiday), maybe I could use that in a combo with a Whiteface trip.

Amen on the Music Hall being crazy crowded around the bar. It's not even remotely worth standing in line waiting for a beer during intermission. If they let you buy a beer before the movie and just drink it during the show it would work a lot better.
We're doing the 9:30 this year...gives everyone enough time to get home after work, have dinner and then be to Portsmouth for pre-movie cold ones for 8ish.
May try the Thirsty Moose this year...haven;t been there yet.

I like skiing their mid week nights, I haven't been there in like 8 years but now that I'm back in Orange county I plan on hitting a few night sessions there.

Fwiw- ive been going to the nyc show the last 4-5 years and from what i understand the producer is different than the rest of the tour. I dont know exactly what the deal is, but the dates arent released when the rest of the tour is announced and its not on the wm website. Probably explains the different giveaways.

Back from the Manhattan show, and I have to say, the giveouts wound up being better than expected

1) Jiminy BOGO
2) Sugarbush (which is online redemption, hopefully it's legit)
3) Gore lift ticket, non-holiday, through 01/31/13

So the Gore wound up not being a BOGO = bonus. Better yet, some guy approached me and my gf and wanted to trade his Gore lift tickets for our Jiminy BOGOs. I was so shocked at this I asked him to repeat his question, lol, but net net, we walked out with 4 Gore lift tickets.

It's an independent show, WM allows people to sponsor shows like that. But the shows are on the WM website if you go to the map or search by zip code. Also, the guy who runs the Symphony Space shows in Manhattan has his own website where you can look for the stuff (link below).

Has anyone redeemed their Warren Miller code online for the free Sugarbush Monday to Friday lift ticket yet?

I'm just wondering what the "Other Discounts and Coupons" are that are included in the deal before using the code.

Thanks.

Good swag from the Portsmouth show last night. Free Sugarbush ticket and 2-for-1s at SR, the Loaf, and Gunstock. Never made out so good.

Saw it with my frequent skiing buddy JH at the Somerville Theater last week. Think my favorite segment was the two kids, though the tribute to the 10th Mountain Division was rather awesome. (Some of those veterans sounded exactly like my dad, who was in the Army in WWII but never saw combat.)

Those were my favorite parts too.

Though I wished that the 10th segment talked about the war, and then it dawned on me that the producers clearly strove to avoid that, which bothered me. I guess they wanted to keep the focus lighthearted and on skiing, but if you're going to honor those guys you need to talk more about what they endured than just "cold weather".
