Pico/Magic this Weekend (2/23 & 2/24)

I am planning on Magic for Sunday.

Pico maybe midweek or next weekend.

I expect conditions to be prime at Magic on Sunday.

Cant speak so much for Pico as Ive only been there twice but dont think they will have an issue. Magic will have zero wind issues.

Summit chair is often on wind hold at Pico. That's why they had a poma to the summit at one time. Still like the place but in my opinion the lifts were laid out better years ago.

pico is a great mountain..when planning remember they are closed tues and wed non-holiday weeks.

Would have loved to ski with anyone coming to Magic tomorrow but I had a pretty bad collision with my buddy who swerved to avoid a small child who made a very random move. Nothing broken but got some tissue damage and will likely not be up for skiing.

Well then it's not totally my fault we won't be hooking up Monday at Smuggs. Hope you heal quickly. I still have no idea whether I'll be able to ski again this season.

I guess not. Guess we should fish together instead.. Hoping to be able to get back out Sunday though time will tell. Hope we have a long spring so you can get back out.

Yeah I'm hoping too. I'm still using crutches but I can now walk without using them. I still use them to keep weight off my broken ankle, doctors orders. Knee is not feeling to good however. I'm starting physical therapy for the knee on Wednesday, we'll see how that goes. Doctor wanted me to start PT on the knee right away but when I called the therapist he told me I couldn't till the cast comes off. My doctor straightened him out so I'm starting this week.

Gotta love it when there's a big audience. Hes doing better than me. Im still holding out hope for skiing next week but I have a ways to go. Thanks for asking.

Yikes, sorry to hear, man. It was a great time up there. I'm hoping the auction from the Winterfest was a good success to keep their cashflow up. The party Saturday night was great time.

The auction always does well and supports the race team. I was down at the BLT for the torchlight and was surprised to find one of our former lifties playing bass in the band. Definitely a good time. Glad you enjoyed.
