Agree, that website is pretty lame.

Everybody says that Elk is the best in PA, but I have never been there. Is there any opportunity for tree skiing, on-map or otherwise?

No on map glades, I hear there are trees to be skied, if you know where, I don't. Great grooming, Okemo like, and great bumps, are Elk's forte.

I've never skied there. However, I've heard (mostly through this site) that tree skiing is prohibited and it this rule is enforced by Patrol.

If you get caught, do you get a warning? Or do they pull your pass?

I've only been there once. really liked it. There are a couple of areas that have plenty of people skier through the trees, but really no pitch there - just kin dog a fun distraction.

The pitched areas that looked promising were strictly off limits per some folks I spoke to on the lifts. They said they really don't want people in the trees. I didn't see any tracks there either, but these were highly visible areas left and right of that nice bump run. Maybe there are some spots far skiers left?

It'd be great if they eased up on that and even cleared the ground a little....it's a nice mountain.
