Watched last night's episode - could have done without seeing the kid screaming in agony with his boot facing the wrong way....(gulp). Must think happy thoughts...must think happy thoughts......

The "entertainment" value comes from the accidents and ensuing drama ("Will the boy get airlifted before he dies....?"). Lots of shots of people skiing and having a great time would be interesting for only about 5mins to 99% of the viewing public. So expect to see a lot more broken limbs, etc...

Stayed there during the MA school break and the NH school break in Feb - we couldn't get over how quiet it was both weeks. Condo was superb and you get lift tickets and free daycare thrown in when you book through Jay Peak. Had a great time and plan to go there again next Feb. Having said...

Just came back from an extended morning at Sunapee. Sunbowl is closed and only the Sunapee Express and North Peak Triple are open. Having said that I had a blast with plenty of snow in firm condition and wide open empty trails...parking lot was so empty when I arrived I thought they were...

Not only do I love my ski rack but it's a Coleman (as in the lantern people) ski rack - not even one of your fancy Thule ones. Does that mean I'm steeped in Gaperdom? 'Cos that would be cool.

Sunapee was pretty quiet - never waited more then a couple of minutes for the Express Quad. Gorgeous day with the whole family.

It does seem to get bypassed - too small to be a "destination" area, too far to be a quick daytrip with the kids? I do notice that a lift ticket is only $1 this April Fool's Day....

Had the Gunstock pass this year which more than paid for itself but I'm burnt out on Gunstock now. As I'm an intermediate with an aversion to bumps and three young children in tow, I think I'm going to skip a season pass this year and just play up the NH resident deals at Sunapee, Okemo, etc...

I'm trying to get both sons (9 and 7) to parallel turn but even after several lessons they still seem to like to snowplow as they traverse the slopes. I really have no more money for lessons and the boys have the memories of goldfish and cannot recall anything they did in those expensive...
