Snow Conditions

  2. Packed Powder
  3. Cord
Only skied Suicide Six twice before on the old Fox44 pass. Both occasions were on the way up to the Waterbury area to ski MRG, Bolton or Smuggs on that product. Neither visit was very good. Bad timing and after rain. Like 20% open. But it was pretty obvious with both visits that with the right amount of snow, Suicide Six has pitch and terrain for serious fun in short bursts.

Today we got such a day. I was there with my six year old today on Indy Pass and it was a fantastic mix of natural snow bumps, cut up powder and some perfect groomers. Super mellow lift line, lodge, parking experience. Perfect day

Looks like a relatively new quad. Awesome pics. I never made it there to ski. I did hike and ski Quechee Lakes.

Great pics. What a throwback mountain. My mom learned how to ski here and apparently I did too though I have no recollection of it. Would love to give it a try and glad to see it’s still operating well.

Looks like a great place to spend time with your kid. The conditions look great, and the terrain doesn't look bad either.

Was there the day before, great day and agreed with pretty much all of what you wrote there.

No liftline then, though. ;)

Yeah, a local I road up with said the day prior was totally dead. But even what I experienced was plenty fine for a Saturday after a good storm.

How does this compare to Pats Peak or Crotched?

Closer to Pats than Crotched, but totally different vibe. Best I can describe it is it's a refined Whaleback if you have ever skied there.

Skis bigger to me vertical wise than Pats. Probably because there is no run out on the main face.

Thanks sounds good enough. I'm into avoiding the crowds

Just pay attention to recent weather. They have pretty good snowmaking for what the mountain is, but they can go from 100% terrain to 40% in a hurry. At 40% it gets boring fast. At 100% it's a hoot
