Well..I skied from saddleback to peak 5...hopefully it just doesnt freeze up. It was not pleasant to ski on it today.
Saw a few heading up to 99....that might be the go to tomorow...
Alta reporting 11 plus....

Already about 11 inches at PC today on the mountain, and it's still snowing. This one overperformed.

As for 9990, that might take a long while to get open tomorrow; even afternoon wouldnt surprise me. A foot+ on top of a rotten base is not good.

A minute from the Alta exit off the I-15!
Get ready for the cottonwood madness tomorrow…

HA! Yeah... it's gonna be a mad show. FYI... traffic has been better at 8:45am than 7:30am the past few weekends looking at the cams/experiences.

Ridiculous graupel today at Alta. There was a coating of snow in town when I got up there at 7:45am and it was just starting to graupel hard. There is now 20+", half graupel, with snow on top. Super smooth skiing.

Euro has this thursdays northeast storm coming in as ice/mix in most of VT. gfs has ice/mix only into southern VT.
Too far out, too many moving parts. All the Ensembles are all still cold north of I90 so can’t rely on one run of one model.

Lines were only 5 to 10 minutes..for some of the best skiing all year!Screenshot_20250208_153032_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20250208_153025_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20250208_153016_Gallery.jpg

Had a wild Slug sighting almost saw some out of control Jerry take him out 😂

This is what I'm most worried about as a parent of a little one, not lift accidents.

Yesterday they were taking the little ones down Intermediate cruiser boulevards like Chicane and Mercury, and IMHO those are probably some of the most unsafe trails for 5 year olds in terms of Jerry attacks.

indy has a lot of places in interior bc. specifically apex and big white. its nice to know i have lots of audible options south of banff/revy. also red and panorama and sun peaks on ikon. schweitzer ikon, 49N indy, if i cross the border. whitefish a la carte...

would appreciate any intel on the interior BC places, and the roads

Thinking that you have been to all these places... Red is outstanding. Friends have been there the last two weeks said it has been a dry January but got about 20" last Monday so that helped. If you have not been to this area of BC, you need to go to Whitewater. Just pay whatever they charge and eat their food in their lodge.
Great place. Stay in Nelson. Panorama is a good time as is Kimberly. I'm sure Apex and Big White are worthy. Driving Rogers Pass can be dicy, really cheap lodging there with excellent back country skiing there if you are interested in that. If the ski areas are still dry, look into cat skiing. Lots of outfits in that area. Hope it snows for you.

Some years ago (10+) I was told by a BC resort rep (Fernie IIRC) at the Boston ski expo that US citizens are not allowed to cross into the US with Canadian rental cars. IDK whether that's still the case but, just FYI.
And separately, 👍👍for Whitefish

If you can make it, get to Castle. Bummed we had to omit it on our trip.

While at Revy, we were hiking to the sub peak with some Panorama locals who said it’s pretty thin there right now. Talking with them is what convinced us to stay the extra days at Revelstoke instead of Panorama.

Haven’t paid much attention to the snow situation since we returned from there. But Revelstoke was the only one getting any snow. Even if it was 1-2” overnight it made a difference and added up over the week we stayed.
