Easily the best post this year. Bears are so decorative and fluffy.Stellar spring skiing day. And the bear was the best!
It is the Woodward Reservoir along Route 100 between Okemo and Killington, just north of Amherst Lake and Echo Lake.great pictures, and for a blue bird day. . .empty. What lake/pond is that? Crystal clear.
Video and pictures from yesterday look terrible. I'm sure they'll fix it for the weekend, and then maybe open on Monday, or possibly the following Saturday (but that's a stretch), to beat out Jay for last to close. They usually do a final day with walking and cheap tickets with the proceeds going to a local charity. We shall see....of course Jay could do the same for last to close. It was melting rapidly on the weekend. there's still a lot of snow they can move around but the groomers are going to have to work some magic to patch everything together. The skiing was good when you could see the bumps. I'd expect either the stairs from the peak to the canyon or the triple if there's still snow on kilink. The canyon loading area was rough, maybe walking on the lift. Sundays probably it

Ehh, just open the Peak Walkway both directions. Works early season, why not this spring too? In between, looks like plenty of snow off the Canyon Quad, especially if they farm what they can from outside of that.

Maybe, but I don't think they will let Jay beat them for last to close in New England. Walkway, walk to the snow, hike out the run-out, or up the stairs this weekend. Or if they go longer than Sunday, up the triple and walk to Eastfall. We shall see. And Jay hasn't ruled out the following weekend.Sunday or maybe even Saturday will be the final day with walking
