Bummer, I've heard the same.

It's too bad if things are tight they don't just skip trail x that skis the same as trail y and stop missing these two unique trails year after year. As Highway star I used to say, Fail.
Yeah, I get it if finances are tight this year. But I question why they bothered to make the very top of Oz on both Cowardly and Upper Princess if they aren't going to maintain LP proper and sping the Quad on a holiday weekend. Oz pod was completely dead and closed. They could have instead used that snowmaking to do Quantum. Maybe a few more guns but at least they got that Triple up and running and that's agreat trail to lap off that chair to get away from the crowds for a break. Shame.

I'll give them a pass this year, but if this is the new model, may be time to start reconsidering the home mountain. This is not what we came here for.

Boyne is in a financial pinch this year from the BS HOA lawsuit loss and the fact they have yet to see an insurance dime from the floods 2 Decembers ago at SR.
There is no quit at loon. They are in resurfacing mode now.

Killington was making plenty of snow today and only have a small handfull of trails left to hit. Conditions were not bad and the place was pretty empty. Another $24 million will be spent next summer.

Well, their owners don't need to draw a paycheck from K and can reinvest every penny. Boyne, not so much.

No timbertown but they have been running 7BX during the week.

There really is no reason to run multiple beginner lifts on slow midweek days. Different mountain but cannon had eagle cliff, Tuckerbrook and brookside running today with absolutely nobody on them.

I'm skiing Loon tomorrow, got the same email. Still no midweek Timbertown there. Still have yet to be there when they spin that pod. Perhaps that's how Loon still has snow making budget 🤣
See you there. I have a meeting at 1 back in the flat lands so have to make it a short day.

With the fresh Nat, a bit hard to tell where they made snow except the very bottom of lower Picked which was loaded. Where they need to remake is all of Walking Boss, the glare ice was coming through even with the new snow today.

Saturday lift ops will be reduced due to the temps.

Another post had the plan to keep White Cap to Jordan linked, with non-essential lifts shutdown in between. Good chance Aurora is completely shutdown aside from the crossover trails, with Little White Cap, White Heat and Locke shut too. May sub North Peak Express for Chondi, just due to fact Chondi is longest line on the hill. Guess we'll see the plan tomorrow.

This storm delivered for SR, some of the finest skiing ever. Unfortunately, it delivered for Boston too so I think almost every weekender extended into Monday. At least the mountain was ready, and had line management ready to go first thing at J8. Even with the crowds, plenty of untracked to find most of the day. Only issue is ME didn't have quite the base that say VT did ahead of this ultra dry powder. Some of the tight and known tree lines were down to the bone again by days end since this snow basically swept off and didn't pack in good.

Quantum Leap was closed too - headed over there from north peak chair and encountered the rope (looked crappy anyways with the puckerbrush).

But marketing sloppiness be dammed, it’s fun out there. Happy to spend all day in the woods, marked and unmarked. Lots of great lines to be had all day long. Finally!
