Conditions: freshies in higher elevations to ice and corn snow at lower elevations.
TR: Well Kicking Horse was not kicking all that much. The bottom part of the ski area was in tough shape and will.notblast much longer with out new snow. The best skiing was off Redemption Ridge towards Crystal Bowl. There are some nice glades there and the snow was perfect. It was snowing in the bowls the whole day and a fog made visibility tough. Not knowing the slopes all that well we skied #39 and 38 but is was like skiing moguls blind.once we were on you were further down in the bowl visibility was better. We basically lapped Stairway to Heaven all day with the exception of a few runs to the base lodge. Runs 31 and 44 were in good shape. 30 had nice soft bumps. Everything below the top of Catamount lift was hurting with ice and brown corn snow. The area around KH seems depressed but the drive there is beautiful. I swear everyone there is a transplant from Australia or New Zealand.
