So the bakeries, restaurants, and merchants on on Arthur Ave suck? People make pilgrimages to that spot.

I'm probably in the total minority here, but I couldn't care less about baseball. I've just never been able to get into it. Actually, I don't watch a lot of professional team sports at all, although I used to watch football quite a bit. Now, if I catch a few games here and there, that's a lot. I just don't have the free time to spend watching sports on TV.

Same here. I voted for the Sox though, if I were to watch baseball that's who I'd be rooting for...

Did anyone else every notice that about half the sox fans they meet (not talking about anyone in here most of you guys probably know more about baseball than i do) just like the sox because they want to root against the yankees and have no idea about baseball. I hate when people do that. I don't see how a new yorker could be a sox fan unless they grew up somewhere else

No, 2000 is the last year of the 20th century. This one didn't start until the first day of 2001.

Yup. Unfortunately the way both teams are playing right now, and with the way the NL looks, it looks like the Yanks may have their first WS win in the 21st Century this year. :-(
