Where did you ski/ride? How was it? Large crowds? Any other thoughts/observations?
Do tell....

Skied Whiteface with Jaytrem, it was great. Jay brought his avy gear, but alas, Slides were closed. It was a clusterpuck first thing in the morning. Apparently there were electrical issues, they had to run the gondola on backup diesel generators, it was the only lift spinning for quite a while, and was at least an hour late in opening. I wish I took a picture of the line, longest I've ever seen there. Once the initial mob was loaded, it wasn't too bad. Took a while to get the Lookout lift going too.

Just want to thank AlpineZone and ISKINY for posting this information. Went to Hunter for $10 yesterday with some co-workers on a beautiful blue bird day. It sure beat working. Many thanks to Hunter Mountain and other NY ski areas for supporting the $10 ISKINY program.

It was slick foot massage conditions especially in the early morning but the groomers were all good. About 10am the sun hitting the bumps on Lower K27 and Upper Crossover made for some great skiing. The cliff had some nice bumps on skiers left We checked out the west side by taking the groomers down. It was my first time riding the QUAD lift on the westside. Very nice. All the non-groomed trails on the westside were closed.

It looked busy but not more than a couple minute wait for the six-pack. I know a lot of people at work got the free ticket coupon in their email for Hunter email but never went. Go figure.

Thanks again for a great day!!!!

I went to Gore with my brother. Zero crowds, excellent weather, and great conditions. A bit thin in the trees in some popular places, excellent in the less popular areas. We stayed 9:30 to 4 with on long break to grill lunch.
