Hey all,
I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain. I arrived at 4PM and it was 45 degrees with strong winds..crowds were light to moderate with several buses but way less people than a typical evening mainly due to this prolonged warm spell. As I was riding the 6-pack, I saw Phillycore on homestretch so I waited for him at the top. We first skied Paradise which was hero snow along with leaves, twigs and whatever else blew in the wind. The strong winds were out of the west so the top section of Paradise was fast but the bottom was right into the wind which required an aerodynamic bullet tuck. We then skied Razors which was much faster..but alot of piles of snow..which my Nordica Blowers flew threw with ease. Switchback was fun and Phillycore aparently lost a poll. Alot of punkass kids were throwing snowballs at random people which was pretty funny..I would say middle school kids outnumbered adults 3:1..
Phillycore and I continued to rack up the runs hitting Lazy Mile, Challenge, Razors, Switchback and Dreamweaver numerous times. When it got dark, the snow remained soft...there were two liftline organizers for the 6-pack and the quad was running making our longest liftline about 2 minutes. Ski Patrol was busy practicing their sleds on Challenge and getting ready for their Thursday night afterwork festivities....yes Corona lights and circle jerks. Phillycore and I left around 7PM, I skied 17 runs in total and Phillycore probably skied about 25 runs since he hit the snow an hour and a half before me. Due to all the tucking...my legs were a little sore but they also haven't had a rest day in more than a week..Anyway I'll be back at Blue tomorrow ready to shred the gnar..will anybody else be there?????
