It's snowing right now in Western Maine with Greenville at 35F and rain is mixed with snow in central Maine.

According to folks on the chat, about 6" of snow/sleet accumulated near the summit.

Thats far better than the 6 or so inches of limb and leaf debris that accumulated yesterday in a good part of my yard in CT when that nasty line of thunderstorms moved through! The really wierd thing is that a few schools in CT actually had early dismissal yesterday because of the threat of severe weather! I'd never heard of that one before!

There were a few closed in Westchester County here in NY too. They make the kids soft nowadays.

Old man story-in my day I would walk to school in the rain. If there was thunder and lightening, adults told me to stay low and away from solitary trees. And when I got home from a full day of school, I was given a rake to clean up the yard.

And I'd better be done by dinner time!
