Cool shot of the basin. I skied there quite a bit when I was going to C.U. in Boulder. The place has probably the best, steepest, most direct 1700+ vertical anywhere. The "Alleys" come to mind and the East wall. And it definately doesn't suck that its base tops out at 10,750 feet. Serious snow preservation and incredible scenery. :daffy:

Fixedgrip, just a little information.
I drug Severine out to Abasin for Mothers Day weekend last May.
It was like taking a tiny bird out of her nest, and well worth the trip.

Not all together rare. The summer I lived out in Keystone, we saw 10 inches of snow on the Fourth of July up in Montezuma

I should have saved the images instead of using the live link from the web cam. The current conditions look melty compared to when I started this thread.

Nice pics on the TR trekchik. Another place sort of like the Basin was Berthoud Pass and "Hell's half acre". . . steeeep.:smile:
