A new hostel coming to Vermont?

Hostel tavere has stopped serving food, except at the bar. But they have been operating for 4-5 years now. From what I hear, it's pretty popular.

It looked like a nice place last time I was in the Valley. Heard good things about it.

Website says this will be their 6th year of operation. Passed by numerous times but never stopped in.

Well, I stayed in the AMC huts numerous times. So hostel? No problemo.

Do I prefer to stay at a hostel to save money? It depends on the hostel and the amount of saving. So I won't cast it off off-handed.

On the other hand, I do wonder how they'll be able to make it. Basically, how they're going to fill the rooms when the typical visitors to the region are well-to-do middle-aged professional. Will there be enough of us cheapscapes to support it???

Hostels often don't have a minimum number of nights rule for weekenders, which can make a big difference between two nights in a motel at $130 per night vs. ~$30 for one night in a hostel for someone driving up Sat morning and leaving Sun evening.
All my hostel experiences have been good, although altitude sickness caused me to have a bad night's sleep at Abominable Snowmansion in Taos back in 1992.
