Great news today!
I have been obsessing over taking a routine hr and half long stress test and echo cardiagram- for several weeks , while also dealing with the pain and ache of shingles which is now getting much better except the pain is still there

-This was my first serious indepth analytical look at THINGS other than EKG's since the Heart attack in July of '09 and i was getting gunshy and all" nervous and jerky" about it . Several good friends inspired me with words of encouragement saying my conditioning level and lifestyle was well ahead of the curve at my age . I appreciated that support believe me .

Just took this fairly involved process/test etc this am and Passed with flying colors

They did 80 sonagram pics of the entire heart and all the circulatory arteries etc both b4 , during and after the stress test .

I got to Level 4 of the Test !! Most my age do not get thru level 2 ( less than 5 minutes of mild elevation) they told me . I was running at 4/5 mile /hr clip at an extreme elevation on the treadmill for more than 5 minutes i did 13 in all at various levels of speed and elevation with no issues They stopped me at that point saying you're in very good shape

. I was "talking" to them while running on level 4 ... So i guess i'm pretty fit for an old fart and good to go for all the skiing i want

In my regular workouts i do the tread for half hr but at lesser pace and elevation. I'm one happy and relieved dude today.

Health related issues/scares do suck but the flip side is that they make you appreciate things you love even more.

I'm sure you will have a kick ass season.
