Predictions predictions predictions, it was so much easier 100 years ago when you just looked out the window and that was the weather, personally i think your chances are better to pick football games against the spread a week out than the weather.

do hope that the meteorology community is not having the same difficulties as we are in fire science with computer models though. They are great tools to have but too often they're used as a be all and end all.

I think the meteoroligists get to play with better toys, though- bigger computers, more detailed models, and all that. Of course, there are still those pesky butterflies and their wings.

A fellow long range prediction doubter...I just don't care much what anyone tells me in the Fall about what's going to happen in the Winter.
