nothing really a phone can do, that i cna think of. Other than track your runs maybe. Best thing you can do is

a) Ski more
b) Ski with people who are better than you by a bit
c) Come here and ask a lot of questions!

What is your current ability level?

Is this a serious question?

Maybe APP is an abbreviation for something else, because thinking an phone app can improve any sport is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Doesn't seem that ridiculous to me. Maybe something loaded with videos and reminders of fundamentals. I can see consulting it on the chair right before taking a run. Some people are visual learners.

And those people would/do get made fun of religiously.

Yeah there's definitely an app that can help you ski better. It's called YouPorn.
1-Wake up in the morning, use the app, rub one out
2-Now that you're nice & relaxed, take a ski lesson with an instructor.
3-You will ski better

Tracking runs is the only value I see in apps that and for trail maps and such. I personally use ski tracks to track runs/speed/slope, etc. but its all for informational purposes unless your a downhill racer and your trying to track your times to get faster.

The AlpineReplay app is good for your stats. There's a thread floating around somewhere about the app. I think it's good, just sometime takes awhile for my phone to acquire a GPS signal. iTrail is also good if you just want trail maps. It's nice when you're at a new mountain. I'll check it out on the chair ride then bypass all the people gathered around the big trail map signs.

I also use On the Snow. The app is not so good for weather. But you can choose an area and it will give you the conditions. The best thing about it is that users can comment, so if you want to ski Sunday you can read the comments for Saturday's conditions. I find it the quickest way to get an accurate snow report. So many mountains exaggerate on their snow report.

Apps to help skiing in general, yes. But none of the above has anything to do with "improving skill".
