...let's see how much you really know about that snow surface you love.

Which brand of snowcat created this corduroy, and how do you know? Hint: there is one basically obvious answer, and then several "less common" combinations that might produce this result. I want to hear multiple correct answers, folks!

(snowcat fanatics... go away! I know you know the answer!)

If I'm not mistaken, that's from a Pisten Bully based on all of those larger "ridges" every foot or so in the cord pattern

No groomer hate here at all -------------Good grooming is the staple of the vast majority of skiers in today's market . I appreciate GOOD work when i see it .

But my fav is the occasional Eastern pow 3-4 buckle deep left untouched ---------over a previously groomed surface

You're about 5% right, and 95% wrong. There are two uncommon possibilities that would result in a Pisten Bully leaving that pattern.

One of the two is somebody mounted a bombi tiller on a bully. The you have me stumped on the 2nd.

True.

The second possibility is the new Bully Z-Flex tiller, which leaves the same pattern as the Prinoth tiller. The comb is setup essentially exactly the same.

Which leaves the third, and most obvious answer to the original post......................
