I just came across it in a list, and realized I'd never heard of it. A search of this site didn't turn anything up... On their webpage, they look like a decent place, and it's hard to argue with the price.

I don't think I'd make a point of heading there, but if I were in the area, I'd give it a shot.

Anyone with any experience there?

Yep i ski it 10 -12 times a year its about 75 min away, 1300 vert there are 3 small interconnected mtns , with multiple face and 2 lodges

Lower mtn has a very interesting steeper backside i'd guess about 600 vert teh front side is great for newbies

The Upper Mtn has 1300 vert but its deceptive because of layout -- skis more like about 1000 vert

Great grooming if you like that kind of thing , great prices and NO lines EVER !

Not the Most challanging place in the world for advanced expert but good skiing none the less at a great price and friendly staff and lifties AND NO LINES

IF you know where to go you can find some steeper excitement

Skied there a bunch when I was in college in nearby Potsdam, NY. Primarily only skied there after dark as it's the only night skiing option in the area. I remember it having a very quirky layout to say the least but still a fun little hill.

Pretty certain that it is Warpdaddy's home hill

Yeah, he would definately know more about it. About an hour from the P-dam/Canton area.

Never skied it personally, but it would have been my home hill during college had I wanted to ski there or had skis that weren't broken. Small hill, from what I know; judging from Google maps satellite/terrain, about 700 ft vertical, tops. Definate feeder hill.

Basically, in college, people would ski Titus at night (including the ski team,) but weekends were trips to Gore or Iceface (err, Whiteface. Sorry HPD )

Plus I'm not sure how things are going to go this year without the free electricity and sewage: http://www.rnntv.com/Global/story.asp?S=9224748&nav=menu566_2

Mondeo, you dont happen to be a SLU alum? 07 grad here.

First off, Titus is a fun little hill, but not worth any sort of trip or long drive.

It was fun to ride there at night on powder days with booze and buds, but I never bothered with a day trip there. Whiteface was only like 20 minutes further if you knew the shortcut and a way better mountain. Back side of the lower mountain did have a few steep shots, but it was only 600 vert or so as mentioned before. Always liked to ride the untracked on the unlit trails on that side.

In today's world, it's all about downsizing. Titus Mountain needs to downsize, too. Get rid of the "u" in the name and I'd ski that place in a heartbeat.

'89 Alum with PhD in physics. I skiied there a lot as a chaperone for the hgih school ski club on weekend nights. Couldn't be free. It was a fun place. I remeber one night driving up with friends and had about 10" of fresh snow and about 10 people on the mountain the whole night. Fun!!!!!
