No, I didn't get mine. I may have to send a new picture because I switched from Mount Snow to Sunday River to beat the VT sales tax.

Good thinking.....smart man....I would think though that all the systems are "connected"...

You used Attitash last year as well? I'm just trying to get a bead on what I should do about my picture.

No, I had gotten mine at Killington the last couple of years. However, when I called, they told me that they have last year's pic, so everything is good, they would just mail it to me when it's ready. Then again, don't forget who I was talking to, ASC  If you have any concerns, just call the Attitash season pass office.

Just curious, have you guys ever had any problem getting your ASC pass before the start of the season? If so do they take care of it for you your first day at the mountain?

They'll take care of it for you on the mountain, but there's usually a long line. The thing is, I'm worried that if I don't get it in the mail that I'll have to go up to maine for it.

That's the problem I want to avoid. This will be my first year as an ASC pass holder (I know, I'm going over to the dark side), so they don't have my picture. I was going to buy it from Attitash to save the VT tax but the tax is only about $30 on a bronze pass. I will surely spend more than $30 if I have to drive to Attitash (or to Sunday River in Maine) so I'm thinking it's not worth it. I'm in Vermont frequently and can easily stop off at Killington to pick-up my pass. If they already had my picture, I would definitely do what you guys are considering.

Jeff you can email them you're picture. Call the mountain you bought it from and they'll send you the upload link. They'll then mail you the card. My worry is that I'm switching mountains and my picture may get lost in the shuffle.

It doesn't matter what resort you purchase your pass from or where you pick it up. Personally I can see no reason why every single ASC pass is not purchased from Attitash.

Last year we purchased both mine and the old ladies passes from Attitash. I used my pass at kmart during the october dump while the old lady was in florida. When the season came around we decided to open it up at sugarloaf and we could not find her pass anywhere. Why driving up to sugarloaf we called the season pass office to find out our options. After we told the woman our dilema the following conversation ensued:

sugarloaf rep: "you lost the pass allready"
my old lady: "yeah"
sugarloaf rep: "what is your name" ... "well you can pick up another pass at the pass office in the morning, we will be open at 7, there could be a long line so i will also leave a complimentary day pass for you at the ticket window, just show your ID"
my old lady: "what is the charge"
sugarloaf rep: "no charge, just enjoy your day on the slopes"

there wasnt much of a line and we got her new pass in time to be one of the first five in the lift line

i also know that kmart was handing out free day passes to people waiting in line the weekend of the october dump, i know because there was a group of tennagers behind me that took advantage of it, they didnt have season passes but waited in line as if they did and got free day passes, they bragged about it as vocally as they possiby could

just goes to show that when a corporation does the right thing there is still somebody willing to take advantage of it

ASC screws up most everything they touch but every experience i have had with their various season pass offices have been excellent.

Couple of things, supposedly there was a option you needed to check if you ordered on line, that option was that you want the pass mailed to you instead of picking it up. I missed this option and that is the reason I called them, to make sure it gets mailed. That is when they informed me that since I was a previous pass holder and they have my pic on file, they would automatically send it to me, whether I checked the option or not. So, if you didn't check it, give them a call. Second, yes, you should be able to upload your pic on line, so call and check on both.

Ive got a question for all of you that avoid the Sales tax, how come if you were to buy a SToKs pass for instance in VT its 619 plus tax and NH its already 655 with no tax but in the end you pay 655 no matter where u buy it. Is asc this dumb or is it just me? And we all wonder why Intrawest makes money while others lose it.
