Assos DB.7 loungeTop

BK.jpg

While lounging might be an ideal activity in Assos' new casual DB.7 loungeTop, it was engineered to handle much more. The loungeTop falls into Assos' 'Dopo Bici,' or 'after bike,' collection, and it features the same technical fabrics, advanced fit, and detailed features associated with the Swiss apparel designer's high-end cycling clothing. The DB.7 loungeTop perfectly illustrates what's attainable when efforts are focused on creating a lightly insulated jacket that not only looks great, but is also applicable in a variety of situations.
For the bulk of the DB.7 loungeTop's body paneling, Assos' exclusive DB-specific fabric was employed. This flexible, low-volume material works to keep your core both insulated and dry though its 'four-way stretch' composition. The stretchy outer-material provides a thin layer of insulation and wind-blocking protection, while the inner fleece layer does double duty by insulating your core and pulling moisture away from your skin and any clothing underneath. This transportation process continues as moisture passes through the fabric and is deposited on the surface-layer where it quickly evaporates. Due to these properties, Assos considers this fabric to be a 'transportation' textile, as it functions to draw moisture away from the skin while still trapping heat inside. Moving up to the shoulders and arms, Assos applied its thick microfiber fleece fabric, which serves to further insulate the upper torso and arms. This fabric's composition is slightly coarse, adding to overall durability and water-repellency. In addition to providing a full range of movement at these flex zones, this material works with the other fabric panels in order to maintain your 'internal microClima' inside the jacket.
In the fit department, the DB.7 loungeTop differs from Assos' cycling jackets in that it incorporates a more spacious paneling that's been designed specifically for your daily life away from the bicycle. The fabric panels were joined in a way that contours to the body without restricting movement. Along these lines, the separate shoulder and elbow panels were cut in a shape that mimics your anatomical structure, which aids in a fit that smoothly wraps your arms and upper torso. A thin 'free-standing' neck panel composes the DB.7's collar, which was specifically designed to keep pressure off of the neck.
The hem and cuffs were built with narrow bands in order to secure the fit, and two zippered front pockets line the front on either side of the full-length zipper. Assos finished off the DB.7 with a small logo at the chest and a reflective security stripe along the upper rear panel.
The Assos DB.7 loungeTop is available in seven sizes from X-Small to TIR and in the color Black.
