That illustrates the power of an avalanche really well. BTW, when it stops, all that snow turns into cement.

Amazing they never stopped the lift.Maybe the operaters were running away?Still think they would have hit the stop button if they bailed.

I don't know whether they had time to think of this, but the chairlift was traveling up out of the avalanche path. So letting it run might have saved a few riders from getting buried. Any mot on casualties?

That's what I was thinking. They may have purposely left it running as long as they could to get as many people out of the avalanche zone as possible.

Is that N. New Hampshire or Maine?, the first lady spoke with a NJ accent, but the guy's accent screamed Boston-Italian.
