alluded to in the Win thread vs. Killington - but why was the Boyne/Stephen Kircher thread locked at 25 posts / 3 pages and the Win thread is still going at 5 pages not to mention the Killington mess. Boyne runs 3 (THREE) resorts in NE - as opposed to 1 (ONE) and would think you'd leave it open a bit longer - plus most in that thread stayed on topic - actually asking questions. Kind of quick on the trigger here.

I kind of agree the Boyne one was questions and the other has many statements. Maybe close it for questions, but leave it open for comments. Reasonable post

Because in that short time I received over 40 questions. If I let it run any longer, I would have a lot of questions to have to sift through and distill/combine. And undoubtedly I would disappoint a lot of people since we can't get to all of them. I'll be playing catch up this week to get the Killington and Sugarbush questions out. I was on vacation the last week of July and have ben insanely busy at work since.

Keep in mind that the sole point of the Challenge threads are to gather 10 questions to send to the ski area to answer. Feel free to start a new thread to talk about anything else you want to discuss. Once the questions come back there will be a new thread to discuss the answers and whatever else you desire.

Like Greg said, leaving the question thread open indefinitely would only lead to more disappointments from those who asked questions, but they weren't submitted. Also, by closing it quickly he was able to get the questions out sooner, so we should hopefully have the answers back before too long.

exactly

The direction of the Killington thread is not what the challenge is 'supposed' to be. K just happens to be a lightening rod for criticism like no other resort in the galaxy.

BTW, Killington questions just went out. As much as it pains me to admit it, I have to say Highway Star came up with some good questions. I also tried to include some questions/comments to get a feel for how Powdr reacts to all the negative feedback, brand identity, etc.

Chris is on vacation and then has several meetings planned. Look for responses in a few weeks.

You mean Tom is on vacation this week and Chris will be too busy the next few weeks to review Tom's answers after Tom gets a chance to write them. :spread:

What is the timing on the replies? And will you notify everyone that posted on the challenge that there is a reply?
