Berkshire East 2-4-09 A Day at Work!

Up until this week we've had an unabated 4 great weeks of skiing and ski conditions here in Southern New England-best I can remember in a long while. This video was shot last week while we were "working" (man, it's a crime to call it work!) at the BEAST! A fellow Patroller had just set up his new fancy helmet camera and he followed me around for a few runs to showcase our favorite little hill in Southern New England.

It was sunny and cool. Snow was firm, fast but still mostly pleasant in an east coast sort of way...coverage was great on and off trail. And the crowds...well, just look and consider a trip up to Berkshire East if you haven't been lately (or ever!).

Yeah, I know this week the weather has turned a bit on us and trail counts are droppings, rocks showing, ice becoming prevalent-but this is a modest ode to the great1st half of ski season 2009 and to the best little ski hill in southern NE!

Nice work if you can get it. We skied B'East last Saturday and had a great day. Of places that are doable day trips for us, It has definitely become my favorite. Hopefully they'll get another dump. We'd certainly like to make some return trips.
