Today my school took a field trip to mass moca :???:

But to get there its (almost) inevitable to go past berkshire east. Being that the mountain is my home away from home i eagerly looked out the window to see if i could spot any noticeable changes. lo and behold i see exibition. The really wide trail that can be seen if you look at my avatar.over the left side of the trail where the quad running up the opposite side can be seen. You can clearly see lift towers going to the top of exibition.
Of couse being on a field trip i had neither my phone nor a camera. So no pictures :-(

I don't get it. You think they're putting in another lift there? That doesn't make any sense. The quad went in maybe 6 or 7 years ago.

Ah there are telephone poles with electricity running up skiers right of Exhibition. Maybe that's what you saw?? I highly doubt they would put another lift there. The only lift they are talking about doing anything with is the old Number 1 Double and pushing the upper landing high enough to get to Outback, but that hasn't come to fruition yet.

I don't think there is another lift going in. I did hear that they were painting the chairs, not sure on what lift.

My info said that their focus this year was on energy efficiency.

Just hiked up the Beast today. Those definitely are electric poles on skier's right of exhibition.

New things:
Magic Carpet going on bobcat, the real beginners slope next to the lodge. This is great news. As an instructor there I hated that handle tow, it was very hard to get newbies up, and with two or more students it was a real pain. This will really help.

Upper Comp is widened from where Minnie Dole joins. Slalom Chute is no longer, nor are the trees between it and Comp, so Comp is much wider except for the very top. Looks great, really nice trail.

More tower snow guns as well. Should be able to open all of Comp now without any natural snow from them.

Can't wait to ski Comp!
