By standard day ticket do they mean by your ticket at the window or does it count pre-bought tix?

I presume it would have to include pre-bought tickets, there's no way 1/3 of all sales are walk-ups anymore. I cant imagine that being possible.

how about vail's that are counted as season passes?

I'm assuming that 1/3 includes all areas. There are many smaller, affordable areas out there for day trips. Individually a drop in the bucket, but collectively it probably adds up. I have a pass, but will still buy some day tickets this year.

I view Vail counting these as "passes" as extremely concerning unless they break them out in their 10Qs.

I’ll have to comb through the most recent one, but if they group them together, that is a total scam to investors.

This is the first I've heard of this as I don't follow Vail's stock, but if true the only reason to do so is to intentionally obfuscate Wall Street analysts.
