I've always been a big fan of Long Trail. I just wish they were open later. And Harpoon too, of course.

For eats, I love the Vermont Deli right off exit 2 off 91. Great pulled pork sammies.

I'd put the selection of beers on tap at Mount Snow's Station Taproom up against almost ANY bar out there (and yes I specifically didn't say SKI bar!)

Those that have been will probably agree with me, those that haven't if you're a beer afficienado, you need to check it out!

I agree, a wide selection is available at the Taproom. I had a nice brown scotch ale there on Saturday. Can't remember the entire name or brewery though. The hanger steak salad was great too.
The beer menu states the alcohol content along side each beer, don't see that too often.

That might have been the smuttynose scotch ale if it was served in one of the smaller 8oz glasses. I had that 2 weekends ago, very, very tasty! On Sunday afternoon they tapped a barrel of Stone More brown than Black, which is a collaboration between the brewmasters at Stone out in San Diego and the brewmaster from the Alchemist up in Waterbury, VT. Apparently only 3 barrels were shipped to the East Coast and the Station got one of them! A tasty IPA for sure!

I'm actually glad they have last call before 7pm and have everybody cashed out by 7. It keeps me out of trouble. I prefer the Long Trail to the Access Road bars at Killington even though I can walk to a lot of them. Midweek and off season, the Long Trail is much more of a locals watering hole. You don't get the Killington attitude.

How abt the Swig and Smelt at Saddleback? Red Parka Pub in Glen NH must have been mentioned here before but I didn't go thru all the posts.

Both great places. Love the view from the Swig & Smelt.

Speaking of bars with a view, it's hard to beat the one at the top of Cannon.
