I'm loving the new snow and look forward to stellar spring skiing. I've got my technical skills in order but need a crash course in physical conditioning to get me ready. Any good links to routines that will strengthen the right muscle groups quickly?

Stairs or rowing machine. Quads have got to be in fantastic shape. Also do plenty of stomach strengthening exercises. The key to good bump skiing is keeping your upper body quiet and that takes abs strength. A bonus is that the stronger your abs are the less sore your lower back will be after a day of bumping.

These help, but there is no substitute for just keeping going when you're actually skiing. I was so gassed today from yesterdays powder skiing, my legs were SCREAMING, my back Crying....but I kept forcing myself to pound down the zipper lines when I had no business doing so. I'm going to pay for it tomorrow, but next time out, I'll be just a little bit stronger and ski just a little bit better for it.
