does anyone else think its kind of weird that they only listed maine and vermont?

Killington best expert terrain? HUH? It does have some good runs but it's mostly intermediate. Even the Canyon runs aren't that hard, except when they are sheet ice. I would have thought Sugarbush would be mentioned for this, or Stowe.

...My bad....didn't take a look at the article. Kind of reads like your standard Boston Globe get-out-of-town type of "Guide" for the urban crowd and skiing-newbies. Just more fluffy reading......

I feel the topic on "best snowboarder free mountain" was unnecasary. I mean its one of like 3 in the US. It's not like theres other moutains to compare it to in the East. It made the list cause its the only one...:roll:

after reading trip reports from today, on az and elsewhere, i think it could definately take the crown. (for today anyway.)

I think they were just trying to mention every place they could rather than come up with a serious list. I haven't been to Camden Snow Bowl but I doubt that it's views trump the Loafs. And Sunday River gets an award for being really broad?
