A Co-worker asked me where i would recommend for beginner lessons in MA. I haven't ever actually been to any mts in MA. anyone have an recommendations? They suggested either Wawa or Nashoba, but are open to other options.

Thanks!

Beginners as in true never-evers or beginners as in they've been out once or twice before?

Wachusett has a great setup with a high-speed quad servicing its own beginner trail. It's wide, it's long, it's basically perfect. Good only if you can swing mid-week though, as it's mobbed on weekends.

For true never-evers... does it really matter where you go? You're probably not getting off the magic carpet / bunny hill. By the time you take uncomfortable boots, cold, a few falls, and the general stress of trying something new... it's not like most people would be lasting more than a few hours anyway.

The only other places in Massachusetts I've been are Nashoba (same basic bunny hill / magic carpet area as everywhere else) and Berkshire East (small magic carpet / lift serviced area... they have a long beginner trail from the summit that I've skied with some confident beginners on). Berkshire East has another big "green" trail that's on the steeper side (i.e., dark green / light blue).
