Hunter - best terrain... All around experience... For all levels - except maybe "intermediate"... Since its more geared to experts on the main mountain..
I was waiting for you to chime in..It took you an hour and a half. But it was early. I for one was mtn. biking this morning before the office. I hope you were doing something as rewarding for those 90 mins.
)
(7:38AM today )- (5:56 PM yesterday) <> 90 minutes....
During that 13 plus hours... i played guitar and bbq'd with a friend in Ct... Drove home 3 hours... played more guitar on the back porch staring at Rusk mountian in the moonlight..... slept... woke up - went for a run - worked... made some eggs... worked some more...
pretty normal.... I wasn't cool and mountain biking like all the cool kids.. But.. I can do that all weekend...
And of course i'm chiming in... You gotta admit... I've been good lately...
But i stand by my statement...
Doh! I glanced up and saw 5:56..was thinking it was from this morning, not last night!!
That was a busy 13 hours for you...and I've been mtn biking since before the cool kids picked it up! And you're always good in my book, Doug!
And as for the question at hand..my favorites are Plattekill and Hunter for both terrain and snow
Plattekill is the bomb.... when it's open.. and has snow...
If your ability is good enough to easily get down Hunter's single black diamond groomed trails off the top like Hellgate, then you should put Hunter on the top of your list of places to go especially midweek non-holiday. My recommendation is try them all this winter.Hunter - best terrain... All around experience... For all levels - except maybe "intermediate"... Since its more geared to experts on the main mountain..

we're coming from banner elk, nc. our home mountains are sugar, beech, and appalachian. we're just making a trip up that way to see what else the east has to offer. we also heard there's some pretty good snowmobiling up that way...anybody know of a good place to rent from...cheap?
if i where you i would dive the extra few hours and go to mount snow in vt. they will have more open and their park will be kicking. its just an extra two hours.
